by Ron Thomson

For many people the day which they want to be the most important in their lives and which they want to remember forever is their wedding day. The marriage ceremony is common to cultures the world over and everywhere it is a cause for celebration and joy among friends and relative alike. No matter what the age of those taking part it inspires youthful joy on the day of the wedding and in the time leading up to it.

Romantic relationships are very important to an individual and they are enjoyable. But finally they should lead to a meaningful marriage relationship. The disappointing thing is that now a days, not many romantic relationships are ending up in a fruitful marriage relationships. They have become very business like and formal, where you could hardly find any friends, relatives or any romantic atmosphere.

In today's society, the concept of the romantic wedding is losing much of its significance. Unfortunately, one underlying cause for this is that many people take this important change in their lives too lightly, without having a real understanding of the commitment and sacrifices involved. Others come into a marriage with differing ideas about what their relationship should involve; this leads to misunderstandings which can cripple or ultimately end their marriage.

Some say that marriages in the western world are not as romantic as they could be. There are so many laws in place in Europe and North America which are designed to encourage families, that many people see the need to marry just to receive the many tax breaks and financial incentives on offer and to gain independence from their parents. It is unfortunate that these well meaning laws are being exploited by couples who do not treat marriage with the respect it deserves.

It is important that the couples planning to wed have their marriage ceremony as romantic as possible. After all, a person does not get married very often in his/her lifetime. So, their love for each other will be evident to their relatives and friends in romantic weddings, making them not only enjoyable events but also memorable experiences.

Couples who are planning to get married must make their wedding a romantic one. They could think of romantic venues for their marriage, should decorate the venue beautifully. Family, friends and relatives make an important part of a romantic wedding. In fact, they should get their whole wedding ceremony recorded as a movie and preserve it for the life.

It is very important for the couples to plan for a honeymoon and go for an extended vacation together. The vacation place should be romantic, beautiful and should provide the privacy for the couple. Some of these simple things will ensure that the flame of love that was lit on their wedding day will brighten their marriage relationship throughout their life.

Marriage is the most important event of life. For all romantic relationships are important but they have been mechanical nowadays. Romantic weddings are rare in developed countries of North America where young couples do not give importance to marriage ceremony. Relations of romance may not end in marriage. Sometimes they mimic business like relationship between husband and wife who get their chores done mutually. If a couple plane to marry it should also be planned to be romantic and long lasting. Couples going on honeymoon should take long vacation and make their relationship more happy and more romantic.
